Functional
Assessment

NDIS participants are often asked for a functional assessment report to help the person, family and NDIA understand:

  • Current performance (what a person does now)

  • Potential for change (with the right capacity building supports)

  • Future support needs (including core and capital supports)

Rely on Role OT’s experience to help you achieve a professionally written, evidence based report. Expect our functional assessment reports to clearly outline the supports needed to build future NDIS plans for the participant. With the right supports, the participant and their family can live the life they want to live. And that is what really gets us excited!

Family
Coaching

Therapy is not always about working with the child or young person. For many goals, it is better to work with the parent or carer to help devise a plan for addressing everyday issues at home, when they arise. Goals like toilet training, teeth brushing and sleep can be achieved more effectively through family coaching.

Parents are a child’s first and best teacher. Children learn best when they are in a place they feel comfortable, with people who love them, and at the right time for them. Role OT knows that including moments of learning every day is more effective than an hour of practice once a week.
